A general blog about all of my armies for Warhammer 40k and Fantasy that will cover painting, tournament batreps, reviews and thoughts about the hobby.
My vote has to be the apes, but then, I am always in favor of apes! I painted an Ape team for myself (you saw those) and enjoyed playing them as a human team. The dwarves are too cheesecake for my personal taste, I painted one of the Nippon teams before for a client, need to convert some from throwers from linemen. and the african animals are fun- I used some once for an 'evil circus' themed necromantic team, they'd make a good chaos pact team too.
I was thinking for the Nippon Team: Sumo=Blizer, Thrower=Samurai, Catcher=Ninja, Linemen (the Ronin guys)
You know I don't play, but I know what I'd like to see painted. The last ones for sure. Every commissioned painter I follow is painting Blood Bowl teams right now and I've seen a lot of dwarf teams so those seem pretty commonplace.Whatever you pick, have fun!!I'm putting this blog up on my blogroll as well as Dice of Legends!
Thanks Anne. The Apes or Animals I think would be more interesting to paint up....the Apes seem to be winning. If you like Cthulu I have another blog Strange Aeons Adventures that you may find interesting.
Apes, of course! But not as an ork team, as a chaos dwarf team!!! And then use the Gorillataur from the Sringiti team as your bull centaur.
Interesting idea, plus it pulls something from the other line.
OOooh! Tough one, there are so many to choose from. But for something different, fun and guaranteed to confuse the hell out of your opponent, go for a Slann team! Everybody on the team has Jump, Leap or Diving Catch!
Anne's right by the way. BB is very big again. I've had three BB Commissions this month already and another on the way! Hell, Ferret always to seem to be painting BB miniatures for somebody as well!
This is the first year we was going to do a BB league but it fell through, I may try to pick up the ball later in a few months, personally I think it hits at a bad time IMO. I think after Xmas would rock. We have had 3 full seasons of Blood Bowl in the past...another store just ran a league and another about 2 hours away in Orlando has a league. There is a following....I played at the last Kalm event in Alabama playing Blood Bowl there the night before a one day 40k event at a bar (yes, 21+ and drinking, the way the hobby should be done!). The Slann is another good thought! Played against a guy last year and it was a pain in the butt! The price intimidates me a bit, maybe I can wrangle a cheaper deal somewhere. I love the minis, Apes are starting to win out!
Have you seen all the female BB teams over at Shadowforge?http://www.shadowforge.com.au/
Yes, they are great and nice....I had kicked around the idea of an Amazon or Human team with them.
